Robertstown has a unique "Scotch Derrick Crane" due to being the only one in South Australia which is located in the Goyder Interpretive Gardens being the old Railway Yards.
It was used during the Railway days and eventually it deteriorated and fell down.

A Public Meeting was held on the 19th November 2017 to decide the future of the crane where the decision was to restore it as shown in the Minutes of the Meeting
Mr Bevan Schutz from Schutz Engineering, Point Pass has volunteered to oversee the restoration together with Community Volunteers and with the assistance with employees from the Regional Council of Goyder, the large nuts on the bottom of the stanchions that are bolted to the concrete pillars were taken of on Wednesday, 2nd October 2019.
